Yap Cheng Hai Academy

Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai

One of the world’s most sought-after speakers and master trainers in Classical Feng Shui, Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai has spent most of his life studying Chinese traditional arts. Though he’s now primarily known as a Feng Shui master, he is equally well-versed in Chinese medicine, martial arts especially Wu Shu, Qi Gong, metaphysics, palmistry and philosophy.

Grand Master Yap’s reputation as a Feng Shui master pre-dated the worldwide fascination with Feng Shui that began in the 1990s. As early as the 1960s, he already did Feng Shui readings for family and friends. As his reputation grew, he was called on to consult for private clients and corporations the world over. He also accepted apprentices, many of whom are now Feng Shui experts in their own right.

Founded by Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai in his name, the academy is a centre of excellence for traditional Chinese cultural arts. The first phase of the academy’s development focuses on the propagation of authentic Classical Feng Shui.

The establishment of the Yap Cheng Hai Academy is timely as there has been a growing interest in the ancient art of Feng Shui all over the world in the past decade. As more and more people aspire to become Feng Shui practitioners, there is a pressing need for an institution where these aspirants have access to courses based on the true principles of Feng Shui and Qi Gong.

In general, the academy offers courses on the theories and practice of Classical Feng Shui. More importantly, it also conducts professional certification examinations for those keen on becoming certified Classical Feng Shui practitioners.

Qi Gong, in particular a unique form called Yan Shou Gong, can also be learned at the Yap Cheng Hai Academy. A combination of movements from various schools of Chinese martial arts, Yan Shou Gong caters specially to modern Qi Gong practitioners.

Last but certainly not least, the academy also serves as a repository for books, journals and writings on Feng Shui as well as other related Chinese cultural arts, including martial arts, medicine, metaphysics, palmistry and philosophy.
